Stars have arrived at the 70th annual Cannes Film Festival in The French Riviera for 12 days of movie premieres and red carpet events, with special focus on the famed Palme d'Or prize, the highest award handed out at the yearly event.
This year's panel of judges is led by Volver director Pedro Almodóvar and also includes Suicide Squad actor Will Smith, Miss Sloane actress Jessica Chastain, X-Men actress Fan Bingbing, The Young Pope creator Paolo Sorrentino, French actress Agnès Jaoui, German director Maren Ade, Stoker director Park Chan-wook, and The English Patient composer Gabriel Yared.
The festival runs from May 17 to May 28.
